Communication Manager

About the role

People First Consult is recruiting a Communication Manager on behalf of a confidential client in the beverage manufacturing industry. The role leads internal and external communication strategies, media relations, corporate branding, stakeholder engagement and CSR communications to strengthen the organisation's reputation and visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies and manage communication activities across the company
• Act as spokesperson at media interviews, press conferences and public events, highlighting the company's image and CSR achievements
• Manage the production and distribution of brochures and newsletters by email or hard copy
• Create communication plans that keep messaging consistent across platforms and highlight the company's social impact
• Build relationships with media outlets, journalists and industry influencers to secure positive coverage of CSR efforts
• Proactively seek media opportunities to showcase achievements, initiatives and thought leadership in CSR and sustainability
• Collaborate with executives, department heads and subject matter experts to keep communication and knowledge management practices uniform
• Manage social media networks and monitor industry trends and sustainability practices
• Measure and evaluate the impact of communication initiatives and report progress

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, CSR, Sustainability or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
• 6-8 years of professional experience, including 5 years in corporate communication management roles
• Good knowledge of the company, its businesses and culture
• Proficiency in spoken and written English, Amharic and other local languages; knowledge of French is an advantage
