Director of Studies – International School

About the role

The International School in Ethiopia seeks a strategic leader to shape the educational experience and achievement of its students. As Director of Studies you will oversee curriculum development, teaching methodology, staff development, and overall academic performance across all subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the school’s academic programs and performance goals.
• Oversee curriculum alignment, standardisation, and innovation, ensuring consistency with the Cambridge Curriculum.
• Lead benchmarking efforts and drive improvements through data‑driven strategies.
• Champion modern teaching methodologies, digital learning, and blended education platforms.
• Collaborate with school leadership and departments to ensure effective resource allocation and academic excellence.

Required profile

• Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years senior academic leadership experience (including Head of Academics).
• At least 5 years teaching experience and 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Demonstrated success in driving academic improvement and leading academic teams.
• Solid experience with the Cambridge Curriculum.
