Facility Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems and infrastructure. This includes performing routine maintenance, repairing equipment, and addressing safety issues promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure safety standards.
• Repair faulty machinery, plumbing, heating, wiring, and structural elements such as windows, doors, and walls.
• Maintain HVAC equipment and manage heating and plumbing systems for optimal performance.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures and schedule major repairs.
• Conduct periodic quality checks and maintain inventory records for supplies and equipment.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification; HVAC or building maintenance certificate preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in facility or building maintenance.
• Fluent in Amharic (written and verbal); English knowledge is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
