L2 System Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a full-time L2 System Support Engineer to join TOPPAN Security’s global team. The engineer will act as the escalation point beyond first-line support, handling complex issues across software, servers, networking and hardware while ensuring smooth operation of our identity and payment technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 technical support for software, systems and hardware, resolving escalations from L1.
• Install, configure and upgrade software, drivers and firmware on servers, workstations and network devices.
• Diagnose and resolve networking problems including connectivity, routing, DHCP and LAN/WAN issues.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Analyse system, application and network logs to determine root causes and guide remediation.
• Document procedures, runbooks and knowledge-base articles; lead incident root-cause analysis.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L3/engineering with clear context and reproduction steps.
• Support planned maintenance such as firmware upgrades, patching and version updates.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development and QA teams to resolve cross-functional incidents.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT system support.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and experience analysing logs to identify root causes.
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to produce clear SOPs and runbooks.
• Team-oriented mindset with experience working with infrastructure, development and QA teams.
