About the role
The Livelihood and Economic Inclusion Associate will be based in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, supporting area‑based recovery programming in post‑conflict regions. The role involves conducting assessments, facilitating participatory planning, and implementing livelihood interventions for vulnerable communities.
Key responsibilities
- Support area‑based economic recovery and livelihoods assessments, collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative data on markets, MSMEs, cooperatives and vulnerable groups.
- Facilitate participatory consultations with government authorities, communities, women, youth, IDPs and returnees to develop Integrated Woreda Action Plans and Annual Work Plans.
- Provide technical assistance for livelihood recovery activities, including market‑based approaches, entrepreneurship development and value‑chain strengthening.
- Monitor field implementation, identify bottlenecks, promote conflict‑sensitive and inclusive approaches, and contribute to evidence generation, analytical briefs and case studies.
