Movement Operations Associate

About the role

The Movement Operations Associate supports the planning and execution of travel arrangements for migrants and refugees under the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Working under the supervision of the National Associate Movement Operations Officer and the Senior Movement Operations Associate, the role ensures that travel is coordinated efficiently and in line with IOM policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule and book travel for individuals once they reach travel‑ready status.
• Distribute Advance Booking Notifications (ABNs), updates, domestic flight details, cancellations and departure notifications.
• Ensure all bookings comply with the Handbook of IOM Tariffs (HIT) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) of the Division of Resettlement.
• Maintain accurate records of travel itineraries and related documentation.
• Communicate with partners, airlines and receiving governments to confirm travel arrangements.
