Fleet Manager

About the role

The Fleet Manager will lead the planning, acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of the organization’s vehicle fleet, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective transport support for emergency response programs. This role combines strategic partnership with the leadership team and hands‑on technical oversight of fleet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner to integrate fleet and supply‑chain functions across emergency response programs.
• Develop and implement fleet management strategies together with logistics and supply‑chain managers.
• Oversee end‑to‑end fleet operations, including acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of vehicles.
• Manage performance of third‑party transport providers, owned fleet, and drivers.
• Ensure compliance with fleet policies, GPS tracking requirements, and vehicle usage guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle history records, spare‑key security, insurance coverage, and accident reporting.
• Analyze GPS data for fuel efficiency, usage patterns, and cost optimisation.
• Lead fleet‑related projects and support hub offices as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet or transport management, preferably in a humanitarian or large‑scale logistics environment.
• Strong ability to coordinate with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills for monitoring KPIs and vehicle performance.
