Professional Driver & Mechanic

About the role

The Ethiopian Public Health Institute is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Professional Driver‑Mechanic to support its logistics operations in Addis Ababa. You will be responsible for transporting equipment and supplies safely and on schedule while ensuring the fleet remains in optimal condition.

Key responsibilities

• Operate trucks to deliver materials to various institute sites and external partners.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian traffic laws and institute safety regulations.
• Coordinate with team members to align deliveries with operational needs.
• Maintain accurate logs of vehicle usage, maintenance activities, and delivery records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in vehicle mechanics is a plus.
• Familiarity with Ethiopian traffic and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Commitment to delivering reliable operational support.
