Programme Coordinator – Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Coordinator to support the Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP) under the African Union framework. This fixed‑term position will contribute to the implementation of migration governance initiatives across Africa, working closely with IOM, the African Union, ILO, GIZ, UNDP and other partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor JLMP activities, ensuring alignment with programme objectives and timelines.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among partner organisations, governments and stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports, policy briefs and analytical documents.
• Manage programme budgets, financial tracking and procurement processes.
• Support the development of migration governance frameworks and capacity‑building initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IOM policies, donor requirements and relevant international standards.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in migration studies, international relations, development studies or a related field.
• Significant professional experience in migration, labour mobility or development programmes, preferably within the African context.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural and multi‑partner environments.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
