Programme Coordinator – Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Coordinator to support the Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP) in Africa. The role will contribute to the implementation of the AU‑ILO‑IOM‑GIZ partnership aimed at improving intra‑African labour migration governance and development.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate programme activities across multiple partners, including the African Union, ILO, GIZ and UNDP.
• Monitor project progress, prepare regular reports and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops and knowledge‑sharing events.
• Support the development of policy briefs, communication materials and advocacy strategies.
• Assist in budgeting, financial tracking and resource allocation for programme components.

Required profile

• University degree in international development, migration studies, public administration or a related field.
• Relevant experience in programme coordination, project management or migration governance, preferably in an African context.
• Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality reports.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse international partners.
