Programme Coordinator – Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP)

About the role

The Programme Coordinator will support the Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP) – a partnership between the African Union, ILO, IOM, GIZ and UNDP – to promote orderly labour migration across Africa. Reporting to the JLMP senior management, the incumbent will ensure effective implementation of programme activities and contribute to policy development.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor JLMP activities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timelines.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports, financial statements and performance indicators to partners.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among AU, ILO, IOM, GIZ, UNDP and other stakeholders.
• Support the organization of workshops, trainings and stakeholder meetings.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets and donor reporting.

Required profile

• First‑tier candidates are preferred, including internal staff and nationals from under‑represented IOM Member States.
• Qualified female candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Relevant academic background in migration, international development, public administration or related fields.
• Experience working in multi‑partner international programmes is desirable.
