Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager provides strategic program management leadership for multi‑sector humanitarian interventions, ensuring high‑quality, timely, and integrated delivery across priority woredas. This role oversees education in emergencies, protection, health, nutrition, food security, and humanitarian information management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, monitoring, and adaptation of all project sectors, ensuring alignment with humanitarian standards and donor requirements.
• Supervise sector coordinators and project managers, fostering cross‑sector integration, protection mainstreaming, gender equality, and climate resilience.
• Conduct technical risk analysis, quality audits, and continuous improvement processes across all project locations.
• Represent the project in national humanitarian coordination mechanisms, clusters, and government forums, building strong partnerships with ministries, UN agencies, and donors.
• Monitor technical performance against indicators, drive adaptive management, and ensure evidence‑based programming through assessments and community feedback.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Public Health, Nutrition, Humanitarian Action, International Development, Disaster Risk Management, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian program management, with proven leadership of multi‑sector teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government counterparts, local partners, and donor agencies in complex emergency settings.
