Public Relations and Marketing Officer

About the role

Droongo System Solutions builds technology that brings finance, sales, inventory, manufacturing and operations tools into one intelligent ecosystem. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Public Relations and Marketing Officer in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to plan and execute PR and marketing initiatives that strengthen the company's brand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage media relations, draft press releases and coordinate interviews or events
• Develop and run marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels, prepare social media, website and promotional content, and monitor campaign performance
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather product and company updates
• Maintain relationships with external partners and agencies and manage brand guidelines
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity, and prepare regular reports and insights

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams and with external stakeholders
• Organizational and project management skills, able to handle multiple campaigns at once
• Familiarity with technology or B2B software sectors is an advantage; prior experience in similar roles is highly beneficial
• Proficiency in English; additional local languages are a plus
