Tigrinya Language Specialist – Remote (Hourly)

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Tigrinya speaker to join our remote team as a Language Specialist. The role focuses on translating, reviewing, and annotating Tigrinya content to improve AI‑generated language outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Translate, review, and edit Tigrinya content for accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Annotate and evaluate linguistic data to support AI training.
• Provide detailed feedback to enhance AI‑generated language results.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project goals and timelines.
• Ensure consistency, clarity, and precision across all language materials.
• Identify linguistic nuances, idioms, and regional variations.
• Maintain high standards of documentation and communication.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native proficiency in Tigrinya with strong written and verbal skills.
• Proven experience in translation, editing, and localization.
• Strong understanding of linguistic structure and cultural context.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with language annotation tools and workflows.

What we offer

• Hourly compensation ranging from $40 to $95.
• Flexible remote work schedule (10–40 hours per week).
