Field Program Implementation Consultant – Ethiopia

About the role

Last Mile Health is seeking a Consultant to lead field program implementation in Ethiopia. The role focuses on strengthening health professionals’ capacity through blended learning initiatives in partnership with the Ministry of Health and CPD centers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop instructional design frameworks, facilitator guides, assessments and learning materials for blended learning aligned with Ministry of Health content.
• Facilitate communication and coordination with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) centers, including execution of MoUs and budget planning.
• Track training expenditures, review financial reports and ensure program efficiency and accountability.
• Provide technical support and coordination to contract‑based field implementers to guarantee high‑quality delivery.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver blended training sessions for Health Extension Workers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Professional experience in field program coordination, community health or public‑health programmes.
• Familiarity with national and sub‑national health systems, including community health worker programmes and government stakeholders.
• Experience designing and managing capacity‑building interventions for frontline health workers.
• Ability to mentor and guide field implementers providing technical support.
