Full‑time Video Editor (Hybrid) – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Ayzon Foundation is seeking a full‑time Video Editor to join its team in Addis Ababa. Working in a hybrid arrangement, you will create compelling video content that supports the foundation’s programs, campaigns, and storytelling across digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, edit, and produce video pieces from raw footage to final delivery.
• Apply transitions, effects, color grading, and motion graphics to ensure a consistent visual style.
• Add sound, music, and perform basic audio mixing for web and social media formats.
• Collaborate with program teams, communications staff, and external partners to translate complex social‑impact projects into clear narratives.
• Assist in pre‑production planning and maintain organized media libraries.
• Optimize video formats for web and social media distribution.

Required profile

• Strong visual storytelling ability with attention to detail.
• Experience delivering projects under deadlines on multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and openness to feedback.
• Prior work on non‑profit, social‑impact, or documentary‑style content is an advantage.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Film, Media, Communications, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
• Experience using After Effects for motion graphics.
• Video color grading expertise.
• Ability to create and integrate motion graphics.
• Sound design and basic audio mixing skills.
