Middleware & Application Server Administrator – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Middleware & Application Server Administrator will manage daily middleware operations and ensure the reliable performance of application servers for our organization in Addis Ababa. This role is critical for maintaining the stability and efficiency of the bank’s technology platform.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain middleware components and application servers on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Perform routine maintenance, patches, and upgrades to keep systems secure and up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve integration issues.
• Document procedures, incidents, and configuration changes.
• Support performance tuning and capacity planning for middleware services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in middleware or application server administration.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and adaptability skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and data‑driven decision making.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL and query optimization techniques.
• Solid knowledge of database technologies and concepts.
