Programme Associate (Temporary, 6 months)

About the role

The Programme Associate provides specialised programme and administrative support to UNICEF’s initiatives in Ethiopia. Working under supervision, the role contributes to the development, implementation and monitoring of programmes, ensuring compliance with organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support project planning, execution and monitoring for assigned initiatives.
• Assist in establishing and operationalising partnership management functions, including risk assessments, due diligence, PSEA and micro‑assessments.
• Coordinate funding authorisation and Certificate of Expenditures (FACE) requests to align with work plans and ensure timely processing.
• Monitor prompt liquidation of Direct Cash Transfers (DCTs).
• Collect, analyse and report qualitative and quantitative programme data to support evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Maintain data management systems and contribute to regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrates sound judgment, anticipates needs and recommends actions for programme planning and reporting.
• Engages with internal and external partners to ensure effective delivery and compliance.
