Accountability & Safeguarding Coordinator – Africa

About the role

World Relief is seeking an Accountability and Safeguarding Coordinator to strengthen its accountability and safeguarding systems across International Programs. Based in Africa, the coordinator will partner with country offices, regional teams, partners and Home Office staff to ensure effective complaint and feedback mechanisms and compliance with safeguarding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support country offices in implementing and strengthening Complaint and Feedback Mechanisms (CFMs), monitoring functionality, accessibility and usage.
• Assist with safeguarding, PSEAH and child protection policy implementation, compliance checklists and action plans.
• Coordinate capacity‑strengthening activities, including the development, delivery and maintenance of trainings and Communities of Practice.
• Provide project‑management and case‑management coordination for accountability and safeguarding initiatives.
• Facilitate investigations administration, reporting and continuous improvement of systems.
• Collaborate with the Accountability & Safeguarding Director and Technical Advisor to promote organizational learning.

Required profile

• Commitment to humanitarian values and protection of vulnerable populations.
• Experience working with accountability or safeguarding systems in international or humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across multiple countries.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
