Accountant (Finance & Project Support)

About the role

The Accountant will manage day‑to‑day financial operations for NEXORA, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely invoicing, and solid financial support for design and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Record transactions, maintain ledgers, and perform general bookkeeping.
• Prepare and issue invoices; track accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and support payroll processing.
• Produce financial reports and assist with project budgeting and cost tracking.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax regulations and support basic audit activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong background in general accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage AP/AR, budgeting, cost control, and cash‑flow tracking across multiple projects.
• Knowledge of local tax and compliance requirements in Ethiopia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in construction, interior design, or project‑based environments preferred.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; able to work on‑site full‑time in Addis Ababa.
