About the role

Shaggar Institute of Technology is looking for a competent Accountant to manage its day‑to‑day financial operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate payroll processing, maintain cashbooks and ledgers, and support the institute’s financial reporting and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

Handle payroll, cashbooks, and general ledgers.
Process payments and other financial transactions.
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
Reconcile accounts and maintain supporting documentation.
Assist with internal and external audits and financial reviews.

Required profile

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Financial Management or a related field.
2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a higher‑education environment.
Certification in IBEX software and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills in English, Afaan Oromo and Amharic.
