Advanced Child Protection Training & Manual Review Consultant

About the role

Nexus 4 Empowerment & Development (N4ED) seeks an experienced consultant to review its internal child protection case management manual and deliver an advanced training program for staff. The role focuses on strengthening technical skills, standardising procedures, and aligning practices with national and international child protection frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update the existing child protection case management manual, incorporating necessary changes.
• Develop a tailored training curriculum and agenda that reflects N4ED’s operational context.
• Deliver interactive training sessions (8‑10 staff) covering principles, case identification, assessment, planning, documentation, data protection, referral pathways, and ethical considerations.
• Facilitate role‑plays, group exercises, and case studies to reinforce learning.
• Provide post‑training evaluation tools to measure knowledge acquisition.
• Submit a comprehensive final report with recommendations for ongoing capacity building.

Required profile

• Proven experience in child protection case management and training delivery.
• Strong understanding of national and international child protection standards and GBV concepts.
• Ability to design practical, rights‑based training materials.
• Excellent facilitation skills for adult learners.
