Assistant Manager – Sales (Project & Technical Sales)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Sales to lead project sales and business development for a leading Ethiopian manufacturer of building and industrial solutions. The role focuses on growing revenue through technical specifications, contractor engagement and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and convert new project opportunities to drive sales growth.
• Build and maintain a robust project sales pipeline and accurate forecasts.
• Secure product specifications with consultants, architects, developers and other stakeholders.
• Develop and nurture relationships with contractors, applicators, consultants, developers and key accounts.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and customer engagement activities.
• Support tendering, pricing and commercial negotiations.
• Expand and strengthen dealer and distributor networks.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements; maintain CRM records and produce regular sales reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project/technical sales or business development (8 years with a Master’s degree).
• Background in paints, coatings, waterproofing, construction chemicals or building materials is highly desirable.
