Auto Technician – Maintenance & Repair Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Auto Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on forklifts and related equipment, ensuring safety, quality and on‑time delivery. The role involves close collaboration with the garage team, operators and shift leaders to keep machinery running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all planned preventive maintenance tasks safely and on time.
• Perform legal‑related maintenance and provide feedback on unsafe behaviours.
• Monitor and calibrate PDS equipment, conduct tagging/detagging, and support CILT standards.
• Repair damaged forklift parts, conduct breakdown analysis and root‑cause investigations (RCFA, 5‑why).
• Maintain 5S standards at the workstation and ensure hygiene and sustainability.
• Manage visual management tools, Poke, Yoke and condition‑based monitoring for PM/CILT tasks.
• Train forklift operators in troubleshooting, inspection, tightening and AM/CILT execution.
• Collect and report maintenance data, monitor MTBF and support BDA activities.

Required profile

• Advanced Diploma or higher in Auto Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably with forklifts.
• Successful completion of Level 1 Technician assessments and mandatory KPI targets.
• Certification in safety procedures (LSR/LOTO) and completion of e‑learning maintenance courses.
• Ability to work independently with Maximo, Windows and Microsoft Office.
