Automotive Technician

About the role

The Automotive Technician will join Zemen Bank’s fleet team in Addis Ababa, ensuring that all bank vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulations. This full‑time, on‑site position involves routine inspections, scheduled maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair engine, brake, suspension, and basic electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and report major repair needs.
• Collaborate with fleet management to plan maintenance schedules and source parts.
• Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Technical certification or BSc in automotive technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as an automotive or fleet technician, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Ability to read service manuals and use diagnostic equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
