Branch Business Relationship Officer – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Branch Business Relationship Officer will drive business growth for Retail & MSME/IFB Banking at a South Addis Ababa district branch. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality relationship management to both new and existing customers, maintaining satisfaction, and generating additional revenue through cross‑sell opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with retail, MSME and IFB customers at the assigned branch.
• Identify and act on cross‑selling opportunities to increase product uptake.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to retain existing clients and attract new ones.
• Promote and sell a range of banking products, including domestic, digital, and international services.
• Utilise branch and digital channels (web, email, USSD, SMS, ATMs, POS, agents) to enhance the customer experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of successful experience in banking or a customer‑contact role.
• Strong analytical ability.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of banking products, pricing and cross‑selling techniques.
• Proficiency with core banking and digital platforms.
• Understanding of Sharia/Islamic banking principles.
• Ability to use multiple service delivery channels (web, email, USSD, SMS, ATMs, POS, agents).
