Branch Manager I

About the role

The Branch Manager I will lead the operations of Nib International Bank branches in the Jigiga area, ensuring delivery of high‑quality banking services while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards. This senior role combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day management of staff, customers, and financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all branch activities, including deposits, withdrawals, loan processing, and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, banking regulations, and risk management policies.
• Manage and develop branch staff, setting performance targets and conducting regular evaluations.
• Monitor branch financial performance, prepare reports, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with corporate departments to align branch initiatives with overall bank strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum MA/MBA/BSc degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, Banking, Economics or related field.
• 6–8 years of banking experience with proven leadership roles.
• Relevant experience such as 2 years as Banking Business Manager III, 3 years as Banking Business Manager II, or equivalent senior banking positions.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, internal control, and customer relationship management.
