Car Washer & Grounds Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Car Washer will support Marriott International's property grounds team by ensuring all outdoor areas and equipment are clean, well‑maintained, and safe for guests and staff. This full‑time, onsite position involves a mix of landscaping, equipment care, and basic repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the appearance of lawns, flower beds, fountains, planters, sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.
• Mow, edge, rake leaves, water plants, remove weeds, and perform seasonal snow/ice management when required.
• Wash, clean, refuel, and perform routine maintenance on all equipment after use.
• Operate tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles to transport tools and supplies.
• Collect and bag trash from exterior bins and ensure all grounds features are tidy.
• Identify and report defective equipment, safety hazards, and accidents to the supervisor.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than one year of related experience; no supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb, and work on uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Willingness to perform manual tasks such as bending, twisting, and climbing ladders.

Required skills

• Operation of tractors, trucks, and other utility vehicles.
• Basic equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Grounds‑care techniques including mowing, edging, and plant watering.
