About the role
The Community Nutrition Promotor will support the implementation of nutrition activities within refugee camps, working closely with community outreach agents to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure timely and proper implementation of community‑level nutrition activities in coordination with camp structures.
- Facilitate nutritional screening activities alongside community outreach agents.
- Provide technical support for Therapeutic Feeding Programs (TFP) and mobilise communities for nutrition screening.
- Conduct regular cooking demonstrations and mass awareness sessions.
Required profile
- BSc degree or diploma in Public Health, Clinical Nursing, Nutrition or a related health field (preferred).
- Certificates on the Revised 2019 IMAM guideline and IYCF‑E training.
- Training on Family MUAC approach and TSFP/MAM.
- Minimum two years of experience with NGOs in CMAM programs; refugee‑camp experience is an asset.
- Fluent in oral and written English and Amharic.
- Willingness to work in remote, insecure environments and travel to nutrition rehabilitation centers, including weekends.
