Regional Coordinator – Ethiopia

About the role

Simprints is seeking a Regional Coordinator for Ethiopia to manage the integration, implementation, and use of infant biometrics within the eCHIS system as part of a performance‑based incentive project aimed at increasing vaccination coverage in remote communities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate regional project activities with health bureaus, ensuring data quality and adherence to protocols.
• Lead community sensitisation with health, religious and local leaders to promote biometric registration.
• Supervise field activities, monitor system functionality, troubleshoot technical issues and liaise between central support and field teams.
• Support the use of eCHIS dashboards for real‑time monitoring, train health workers and officials, and oversee incentive mechanisms for health extension workers.
• Prepare regular reports, maintain documentation, and participate in technical working groups.

Required profile

• Experience in public health, immunisation programmes and national health sector interventions in Ethiopia.
• Proven background working with digital health or health information systems such as eCHIS, DHIS‑2, or similar platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced, startup‑like environments and manage multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Digital health systems (eCHIS, DHIS‑2, mBrana) implementation experience.
• Data collection and management tools (mobile data collection, case management systems).
• Technical troubleshooting of biometric devices and applications.
• Training delivery in resource‑limited settings.
