Cook – Full‑time position in Addis Ababa

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team in Addis Ababa. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high‑quality dishes while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients: portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
• Cook and assemble dishes, both hot and cold, following quality, presentation and checklist standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Test foods for doneness, monitor quality throughout preparation, and adjust as needed.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve portions correctly, and maintain a clean, disinfected kitchen environment.
• Check and record temperatures of appliances and food items.
• Follow all company safety policies, report hazards, and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
