Country Representative – Ethiopia

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a senior professional to lead its Ethiopia mission from Addis Ababa. The Country Representative will oversee programme implementation, data‑driven decision‑making and partnership development in a complex humanitarian environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all IMPACT initiatives operating in Ethiopia.
• Coordinate data collection, management and analysis to inform humanitarian and development interventions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, NGOs, UN agencies and community stakeholders.
• Oversee programme design, monitoring, evaluation and reporting across REACH, PANDA and AGORA initiatives.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safety, performance and compliance with organisational policies.
• Represent IMPACT in national and regional forums, advocating for evidence‑based approaches.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in humanitarian or development programmes, preferably in conflict‑affected settings.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi‑sectoral teams and budgets.
• Strong understanding of crisis‑related data collection, analysis and use in decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with government and donor partners.
• Willingness to travel within Ethiopia and occasionally to Kampala, Uganda.
