Delivery Specialist

About the role

The Delivery Specialist will join Food Transport’s logistics team in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to ensure timely and safe delivery of food‑related goods. This full‑time, on‑site position requires close coordination with dispatch, warehouse, and customer teams to meet regulatory standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the delivery of food products, verifying orders and loading them correctly.
• Communicate daily with dispatch and warehouse teams to confirm delivery documentation.
• Handle basic customer inquiries at drop‑off and report delivery status or issues to supervisors.
• Follow safety and quality protocols, maintaining delivery equipment or vehicles in good working condition.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives to increase overall delivery efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong customer service skills and professional client interaction.
• Teamwork and integration abilities to work effectively with operations, warehouse, and logistics teams.
• Basic recruiting awareness to help identify and onboard new delivery team members when needed.
• Clear communication skills and consistent adherence to delivery and safety procedures.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or delivery operations is an advantage.
• Physical ability to load and unload goods and work on‑site in Addis Ababa.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or aviation training is beneficial.
