Deputy General Manager – Service

About the role

Our client, a well‑established Ethiopian corporate company, is looking for a Deputy General Manager – Service to oversee and strengthen the Finance, Human Resources and Administration functions. The role works closely with senior leadership to ensure efficient service delivery, robust internal controls and alignment with corporate objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support financial operations, budgeting, reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Assist in the implementation and optimisation of ERP and financial management systems.
• Strengthen financial controls, perform analysis and support decision‑making.
• Oversee HR activities including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee development and performance management.
• Coordinate workforce‑related initiatives and enhance HR policies and processes.
• Manage administrative and asset services, ensuring proper tracking, maintenance and facility management.
• Develop and enforce administrative policies, procedures and service standards.
• Monitor service performance across Finance, HR and Administration, preparing operational reports and recommending improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a large manufacturing or PLC environment.
• Proven experience in finance, HR and administration with cross‑functional exposure.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP and financial management platforms.
