Driver

About the role

RIDE X TRANSPORT INC is seeking a full‑time Driver to operate company trucks safely and efficiently from its Addis Ababa hub. You will follow assigned routes, adhere to traffic laws, and ensure timely delivery of freight while upholding the company’s safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo according to safety procedures.
• Follow delivery schedules, route plans, and complete all required documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers, reporting delays, mechanical issues, or safety concerns.
• Maintain basic vehicle care, including cleaning and monitoring maintenance needs.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in truck driving and safe vehicle operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics experience is a plus.
• Physical ability to handle loading and unloading tasks and work extended hours when required.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong focus on safety and professionalism.
