Emergency Agriculture Officer-1

About the role

The Emergency Agriculture Officer supports the implementation of emergency agriculture components within a multi‑sector livelihood project, targeting vulnerable households in Boji Dirmaji and Sasiga. The role involves beneficiary selection, input distribution, training, and regular reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate selection, registration and verification of beneficiary households and submit lists to the Emergency Livelihood Project Coordinator.
• Prepare and execute input distribution plans, documenting distribution lists and reporting outcomes.
• Organise and deliver training sessions for agricultural extension agents and target beneficiaries in collaboration with the woreda agriculture office.
• Monitor project implementation, collect field data, and report progress, challenges and lessons learned.
• Manage complaints, ensure feedback loops, and validate beneficiary selection with relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in agriculture or livelihood project implementation, preferably in emergency response or NGO settings.
• BSc/BA in Agriculture or a related field.
• Experience working in Ethiopia or similar hardship environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS‑Word.
• Proficiency in MS‑Excel.
