Emergency Medical Technician

About the role

Redat Medical Plaza is seeking a qualified Emergency Medical Technician to join its fast‑growing emergency care team. You will provide critical pre‑hospital care, support rapid patient assessment, and ensure safe transport to our modern facility in Addis Ababa.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and rapid trauma evaluation on scene.
• Manage airway, deliver oxygen, and execute CPR using manual or AED devices.
• Control hemorrhage, apply tourniquets, dress wounds, and immobilize fractures.
• Track vital signs and document care accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with ambulance crew and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient hand‑over.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Emergency Medical Services, EMT, nursing, or a related field.
• Valid EMT certification/license and BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year experience in emergency medical services, ambulance, or hospital settings.
• Ability to work under pressure, maintain calm, and communicate clearly with patients and team members.
