Executive Chef – International Cuisine (Premium Catering)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead culinary operations for a premium catering and events business in Addis Ababa. The role demands creativity, strong multicuisine expertise, and the ability to deliver high‑quality food for corporate, diplomatic, VIP and large‑scale events.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all culinary activities across catering and events.
• Design innovative multicuisine menus and signature dishes for diverse client segments.
• Oversee live cooking stations, modern food presentation and experiential dining concepts.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion control and presentation standards.
• Control food costs, inventory, wastage and overall kitchen expenses.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations.
• Recruit, train, mentor and supervise the kitchen brigade.
• Coordinate with event planners, procurement and service teams to guarantee seamless event execution.

Required profile

• 12+ years of culinary experience, including senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record in premium catering, large‑scale events and hospitality.
• International exposure and experience working with multicultural teams.
• Formal culinary qualifications and food‑safety certifications (e.g., HACCP) are a plus.
