Field Accountant (Contract)

About the role

This unique role combines the responsibilities of a Field Finance Officer to provide comprehensive support for the program hub, its associated programs, and staff. You will act as a bridge between departments, ensuring a smooth‑running and well‑resourced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process bank payment vouchers, manage petty cash, follow up staff advances and settle government taxes and pensions on time.
• Record and categorize all bank and petty‑cash transactions, prepare general‑ledger and cash spreadsheets, and maintain proper documentation for financial reporting.
• Ensure safekeeping of petty‑cash funds, scan and stamp financial documents, and archive them according to policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and at least 4 years of relevant field experience.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, advanced computer skills in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent oral and written English, effective communication, and ability to work with an ethnically diverse team.
