Field Service Engineer

About the role

AndyTec is seeking a dynamic Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair automation and control systems at client sites across Ethiopia. You will act as a key member of the service team, delivering high‑quality customer support and ensuring systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission automation and control equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
• Provide on‑site training for client personnel on operation and maintenance procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and preventive actions to minimise downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, SCADA, HMI, sensors and other industrial automation components.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls, diagnose issues and implement corrective solutions.
• Document work performed and ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer working with automation and electrical systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to clients.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in diverse environments such as factories and production sites.
