Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Finance Manager to lead and strengthen the finance function for a growing automotive distribution company in Addis Ababa. The role is critical for safeguarding the company’s financial position while supporting profitable growth through robust planning, reporting, cash‑flow management and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, developing models and scenario analyses to support growth and investment decisions.
• Oversee accurate recording of transactions, prepare monthly management accounts, cash‑flow reports and performance dashboards, and ensure timely month‑end and year‑end closings.
• Manage treasury activities, liquidity planning, banking relationships, trade finance, letters of credit and foreign‑currency exposure.
• Ensure timely tax filings, statutory payments and compliance with Ethiopian financial and regulatory requirements.
• Strengthen internal controls, approval processes, reconciliations and coordinate audit activities.
• Monitor inventory values, stock aging, landed‑cost calculations and provide financial analysis for pricing, discounts and commercial decisions.

Required profile

• Proven finance experience in automotive distribution, import‑intensive businesses, FMCG distribution or other inventory‑driven commercial environments.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to partner with senior management and functional leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team and drive process improvements.
