Head of Corporate Relations

About the role

The Head of Corporate Relations will lead all corporate communications, public relations and stakeholder engagement activities for Habesha Breweries. Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior leader will shape the company’s external image, manage media relationships and guide strategic interactions with government and community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the corporate relations strategy, annual plans and risk agenda aligned with business objectives.
• Craft and disseminate consistent corporate messaging across internal and external channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, industry associations and key community partners.
• Manage media inquiries, press releases, press conferences, speeches and executive communications.
• Lead strategic engagement with government bodies, regulators and policymakers.
• Monitor public perception, identify reputational issues and maintain crisis communication plans.
• Provide strategic advice to the CEO and senior leadership on corporate positioning, reputation management and communication risks.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate communications, public relations or corporate affairs, preferably in a senior leadership capacity.
• Proven track record of managing media relations and government or regulatory engagement.
• Strong analytical ability to translate complex business priorities into clear, compelling messages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting speeches, press releases and executive briefings.
• Demonstrated experience handling crisis or reputational issues and developing issue‑management plans.
