Heavy Equipment Product Specialist – Technical Sales

About the role

Liugong Machinery East Africa is seeking a Heavy Equipment Product Specialist to drive the positioning and growth of LiuGong equipment across Ethiopia. The role blends technical expertise, market analysis, and sales support to ensure customers select the right machinery for construction, mining and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop product strategy and positioning for excavators, loaders, bulldozers, graders, rollers, dump trucks and cranes based on Ethiopian operating conditions.
• Manage the product lifecycle from introduction to phase‑out and recommend regional mix adjustments.
• Conduct market and competitor research, track pricing trends and gather voice‑of‑customer feedback.
• Train sales teams and dealers, support customer demos, prepare technical brochures and tender documentation.
• Define pricing strategy, discount guidelines and profitability targets.
• Coordinate with service and parts teams to monitor field performance, warranty issues and recommend product improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years experience in heavy‑equipment product management, application engineering or technical sales support.
• Strong exposure to field operations and customer‑facing technical roles.
