Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) – Factory Operations

About the role

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic and operational ally to factory leadership, ensuring people strategies are tightly aligned with business goals. Working in a manufacturing environment, the HRBP drives productivity, employee well‑being, and a positive culture while upholding compliance with labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with factory leaders to shape workforce strategies that support operational objectives.
• Provide HR insights for decision‑making, organisational restructuring, and change management.
• Support manpower planning, staffing, and talent acquisition for critical factory roles.
• Identify talent gaps, develop succession plans, and manage performance review cycles.
• Guide supervisors on employee‑relations matters, investigate grievances, and ensure corrective actions comply with company policy and local law.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a collaborative workplace culture.
• Implement employee‑engagement initiatives to boost retention and morale.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of Ethiopian labour law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Analytical mindset to interpret workforce data and recommend improvements.
