Investment Officer (Gambella)

About the role

Inkomoko is seeking an Investment Officer to join its Ethiopia team in Gambella. The role will serve as a trusted partner to entrepreneurs, guiding them through the investment process and ensuring effective portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from prospective borrowers and support them in applying for investment products.
• Introduce investment products, explain repayment requirements, and assess suitability.
• Conduct investment appraisals, collect personal and business information, and open new investment accounts.
• Prepare and execute investment contracts, arrange disbursements, and coordinate due‑diligence activities including site visits and document preparation.
• Collaborate with Business Development Advisors and Business Associates to compile credit reports for Investment Committee meetings.
• Capture entrepreneur photos, obtain waivers, and ensure accurate stories are posted on the Kiva platform.
• Provide ongoing customer service through daily communication, correspondence, and site visits to manage the portfolio.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with entrepreneurs.
• Experience in conducting due‑diligence, financial appraisal, and preparing investment documentation.
• Detail‑oriented with the capacity to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
