Junior Sales Engineer

About the role

Sun Power Ethiopia is looking for a motivated Junior Sales Engineer to join its renewable-energy team in Addis Ababa. The position is ideal for recent graduates who want to combine technical knowledge of solar solutions with sales activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals and related documentation.
• Conduct site visits, perform basic assessments and support system sizing under senior guidance.
• Respond to customer inquiries, explaining solar and electro-mechanical solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Deliver professional sales presentations and coordinate with engineering, sales and customer-service teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• 0–1 year of experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of renewable-energy or electrical systems; familiarity with solar technologies is a plus.
• Strong communication, self-motivation and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to travel for client visits and site assessments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of solar technologies and renewable-energy fundamentals.
• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Word, Excel).
• Basic ability to use CAD or other design software.
