Junior Site Engineer

About the role

Mugo Design and Build is seeking a Junior Site Engineer to support day‑to‑day operations on construction projects in Addis Ababa. Working on‑site full‑time, you will assist senior engineers in supervising works, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that projects meet design specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and document progress.
• Support quality‑control activities, including inspection and testing procedures.
• Prepare clear site reports and communicate updates to project managers and design teams.
• Assist senior engineers in resolving technical issues that arise on‑site.
• Coordinate with contractors, trades, and multidisciplinary teams to keep schedules on track.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong on‑site awareness and ability to work safely in a construction environment.
• Willingness to learn from senior engineers and project leads.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Addis Ababa.
