Line Process Engineer

About the role

An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Line Process Engineer at East Africa Bottling Share Company (EABSC) in Ethiopia. The role reports to the Production Team Leader and focuses on optimizing PET production line performance, ensuring quality, reliability and SHEQ compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and control production processes to meet output, quality and efficiency targets.
• Perform line set‑up, start‑up, shutdown and product changeovers according to standards.
• Collect production data, analyse process parameters and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and eliminate causes of waste, losses and quality defects.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects to boost productivity, yields and equipment reliability.
• Carry out first‑line maintenance, routine inspections, lubrication and basic repairs.
• Support planned maintenance and shutdown activities and coordinate with technical teams.
• Maintain operating procedures, work instructions and ensure compliance with SHEQ, GMP and food‑safety requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment; beverage or FMCG experience is a plus.
