Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth operation of hotel facilities by responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and handling a wide range of technical tasks across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and troubleshoot equipment, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Carry and operate tools, radios, and equipment; locate and operate shut‑off valves.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, A/C filters, electrical switches, outlets, and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping‑related inventory, and perform landscaping and sprinkler repairs.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Follow safety policies, report hazards, and store flammable materials properly.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and energy‑conservation practices.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, lift up to 50 lb unaided, and assist with heavier loads.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Commitment to safety, confidentiality, and quality standards.
