Master Electrician

About the role

The Master Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across campus facilities in the Amhara Region, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot electrical issues, and conduct routine inspections.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repair of building electrical infrastructure.
• Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and local codes.
• Coordinate with facilities and academic staff on project requirements.
• Guide junior technicians and support training on electrical safety.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in electricity principles and electrical engineering concepts.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in electrical engineering or related field; Master Electrician licensure where applicable.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
